Greetings from Minnesota!
We drove across the border today and stopped at the Mall of America about noon. It is a stupendous mall. Lots of different shops, lots of people, and a whole amusement park in the center with Ferris wheel type things and roller coaster as well as a train. We walked around all of the levels, and generally looked around admiring the merchandise, though we bought very little. The Legoland area was very impressive; Jago Fett was almost life sized and Bill thinks that he weighs about 350 lbs. I think that Ben got some pictures. Would you like to hear the real irony concerning today? This was Ben's stop. Bill said that he saw no reason for stopping here. Guess who did the buying? As we left, Bill was the one with the bags.
Needless to say, we were all foot weary by five and ready to head for the hotel. We had reservations for the Super8 and got checked in to find that we were in room 301, with no elevator! After making a trip to the room, we went out to eat and ended up at a Mexican place called Chevy's. The food was good and plentiful. Here are a few pictures: |
